Design Challenge: Create a poster for the Fall Festival. Client wants convey an energetic family event with an old-timey feel, highlighting the many activities and products produced by the farm.

Design Solution: I started the project by attending one of Shone’s Sip and Pick events to get a feel for the location and photograph the site. While I captured some nice shots they really conveyed spring, rather than fall. I went into my own collection of images from fall to develop the design. Initially I envisioned using pumpkin and wine vines to enclose the poster, but the sunflower image conveyed fall to me as much as those objects and it conveyed the fun in a way the vines do not.
