Distracted: NYC

In 2012 I found New York City to be, well, distracted. While everyone was very friendly, a post-911 symptom of gratitude, or so I was told by locals, they were distracted. The smartphone had taken over the city. You could see it’s presence in the interactions on the street, in restaurants and shops.
