Design Challenge:

Create a poster sized infographic for a beloved subject.

Design Solution:

Given such a broad prompt I chose to go with one of my daily rituals, my morning cup of joe. I can count the number of people I know who don’t drink coffee on one hand. When given the challenge to create an infographic about the beloved substance I was overwhelmed with the many aspects of its growth, production, health effects and more. In the end, I created a design that touched on many of its diverse aspects. Creating the illustration of the cup beneath the espresso machine drip was my favorite part of the project, but I’m also partial to my little Capuchin monk holding his arms aloft in the Cappuccino steam.
