In 2019, the Point-in-Time count revealed a staggering 340 homeless youth under the age of 25 in Sonoma County. To address this critical issue, we initiated the 3-40 Campaign, setting a fundraising target to highlight the number of youth affected. Launched in the fall of 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which restricted in-person fundraising efforts, the campaign took a virtual approach.
We enlisted Advocates to raise funds within their networks without relying on traditional in-person events. Weekly messaging and graphics emphasizing SAY’s services were provided to Advocates for dissemination among their networks. The campaign became a cornerstone of our year-end fundraising efforts in 2020, 2021, and 2022, rallying support and raising vital funds to address the urgent needs of homeless youth in our community.
I designed the logo, created the polaroid style utilized for social media, selected stock photography and created animations for social media. I also designed and managed printing of multiple print pieces, including inserts for the local newspaper, postcards and self-mailing appeals that were sent out to a distribution list of 5,000 potential donors.
